Saagar, how do you do your supplement research?

You mentioned that you do extensive research on the supplements you take. How do you do this? Thinking I should start..

Can you take a look at what is happening to small business and personal accounting systems?

Guys, Over the past week both Breaking Points and Counter Points have talked about issues around IRS enforcement and how the government gets whatever it wants from the corporate sector. I work in the IT field and have been looking for a replacement of Quickbooks, a defacto standard for small business accounting. Reason for the search is the price of the desktop version has become exorbitant. This is a tactic software companies use to get clients to move to a new version of a product. Turns out that there is no product on the market that you can store your accounting transactions without sending the data to the web. Personally, and some of my small business clients, prefer to handle our data ourselves. We can handle storage and backup of our data, thank you. Asked folks in the accounting realm and their suggestions all lead to products storing transactions on the web. At my local town's small business association meeting this week, one of the side conversations centered on another businessperson's client who was hacked and lost roughly $4,000 via their Quickbooks accounting. The client and Intuit, Quickbooks manufacturer, are bickering over who is at fault. Reality is - no system is secure of someone can steal a victim's passwords or identity. There are enough people in the business world who just don't trust the tech. Couple years ago it took Wawa, a SE Pennsylvania convenience store and gas pump chain, about 6 months to realize their data was being breached. This is a great cautionary tale. Now add in the discussions about how the IRS will be doing more auditing and companies regularly bend to government requests - fall asleep and we get a nightmare for anyone using systems storing all corporate data on private company silos. Last I looked there is no confidentiality exemption for accountants or software companies to stop the government from demanding and receiving the transaction data of probably every small business in the country once the accounting software houses force everyone's data into corporate silos. Is this topic worthy of longer discussion? TY and enjoy! (you guys are doing a great job!) (FYI, I have over 40 years in the IT field and run my own one man shop. Was also published on Huffpo back in the day.) Joe Ferraro (Joe the Nerd)

What do you think of the Fair Tax?

A 23% tax on everything we buy, paired with a Prebate for the poor seems like it could be a good replacement to the income tax and could lead to more employment. What do you think? Looking forward to your insight. (For both Krystal and Saagar.
