The UAW is holding our collective bargaining convention March 27th in Detroit. As a member of the UAW the last 10 years, I can tell you that contract time is a rumor laiden, corrupt, misinformed, chaotic time. Some good reporting and reliable information would be a godsend to us. For example our local contract here at the local 12 was never fully negotiated and so we are still using the local contract from 2015. Not to mention the constant breaching of contract that happens on a daily basis. More so now that it's negotiation time. Our Stewart's are overwhelmed and understaffed and management knows it. So I guess what I'm asking is can and will you pretty please cover the shit out of these negotiations!? We really need some transparency!
This question is mainly for Krystal. For all his many faults, is Joe Biden the best President of your lifetime as a progressive? He's ended the war in Afghanistan, installed strong NLRB and FTC, brought jobs back among other things. Admittedly the bar is low, I know, but I think he's been better than Obama or Clinton. Saagar, please feel free to chime in.
I may be late to this thought, but has anyone looked into which voting precincts companies like BlackRock are buying neighborhoods? Has there been a demographic shift in those who've been approved to rent or buy properties owned by these hedge funds and investment groups? I know it sounds conspiratorial, but it also sounds plausible to someone with zero faith left in the system. What do you guys think?
Would like to see story on International health care amendment sponsored by The Who giving WHO power to exclusively declare a pandemic and protocol that all member countries must follow. In addition since This is not called a treaty Congress does not get to vote if we should join.
