Housing Market Policy Options

What are some potential policy options to protect the ability of working and middle class people to buy a house in the face of private equity firms gobbling them up (as you guys laid out)? In addition, is there a way to address the issue whilst still maintaining the four fundamentals of a property rights system (Transferable, Comprehensive, Exclusive & Secure)?

Republican Hope?

This question is for Saagar: Who would you say is the best hope for the Republican Party? Any well-known right-wing politicians out there right now that you like, who you think is most likely to work with well-meaning progressives to bring the sides together? Thanks - I really enjoy watching the interplay between you guys! You guys are the best :)

How can labor win against big tech?

I'm in the process of reading Break 'Em Up by Zephyr Teachout, and I am honestly quite worried about the potential for the biggest tech companies to starting behaving like the Mafia (a mini government within our society and parallel to our existing government). It seems like arbitration stipulations within user agreements and worker contracts have completely revoked our right to a trial in so many areas of our life. How do we overcome such obstacles with the labor movement being at such a low point and with existing unions in many states only really handling the grievance process - instead of using organizing techniques like picket lines and strikes? (As indicated by Jane Mcalevey in her book Raising Expectations)

The Future of Conservatism

Saagar, I found your monologue on the future of conservatism really fascinating the other day. As interesting as it is to point out the rise of Grill-Dad/Barstool conservatives, I'm curious what you think of the future of the religious right in this conversation. I find it hard to think about the trajectory of conservatism without any reference to the religious factors that have shaped it over the last 50ish years. Love the new show, and I'm proud to support you guys! Ben
