Ask a question

Have you reviewed the data saying the jab doesn't reduce severity of illness?

I had believed the claims that breakthrough cases were likely to be milder than cases in the unvaccinated, but then I looked at the analysis done on Dr. Rollergater's Substack (several posts, but initially the one called Lies, Damned Lies, and Vaccine Statistics - https://drrollergator.substack.com/p/damned-lies-and-vaccine-statistics). He makes a compelling case that we actually don't yet have evidence for this protection, instead demonstrating that the statistics being quoted are showing downstream effects from lower infection rates; i.e. if you don't get sick you won't get hospitalized or die. I've started doing his analysis on other data sets (like my own country's stats) and it seems to hold true. If he's right it is a big story and I'd be curious to hear you guys look into it. I've seen critics say his math is sound but the data set is too small for drawing conclusions (he was looking at 2000+ breakthrough cases in Isreal). But I've seen people who claim the protection exists citing this paper https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2107058 which only looks at 16 breakthrough cases, of which 11 were in people only partially vaccinated. I'd like to get to the bottom of it! Thanks!

Changing the show format

I'm wondering if you'd consider changing the show's format from one that focuses mainly on the day's headlines to one that addresses the political/governmental context. Could we have shorter news-of-the-day segments and regular monologues on the history and people who got us to the moment in which we live. Krystal and Saagar have a deep understanding on political parties, historical party leadership, cooperate involvement in Washington, the key political players today, important bills, important supreme court decisions, foreign relations, environemental regulations, etc. I know some of this stuff is addressed in their individual podcasts, so they could share segments on the BP channel more often, or bring new content to the show itself. I always appreciate Krystal and Saagar and what they've taught me over the past few years! I'd love to be taught more and more!

Audio books

I was wondering what audio books you both would suggest to listen to in spare time?

Australia "Covid-19 Dystopia"

Can you revisit this? This was way out of line with reality. Here's a useful summary of why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_0zFEtPbiA It just comes across as arrogant to be sitting there with the horrendous death toll that the US has experienced and tell other countries what they should be doing.

Pelosi Squad infra and recon bills and force the vote

Do you think Pelosi’s decision to put the reconciliation bill on the floor together with the infrastructure bill is what the Squad negotiated for not doing #forcethevote ?
