Bogus local politicss

Saagar & Krystal- Love the show. I’ve been on board since the beginning of your show. One of the only places I trust right now. I wanted to bring up an issue that I’ve seen in my own life and get your take on it. My parents have been living in a retirement community in Banning, Calif. for the past 20 years. It’s a pleasant sleepy town outside of Palm Springs and not far from LA, where their kids (my brothers and sisters and I) live. Recently there’s a developer who is trying to build warehouses there. This could conceivably bring way more traffic, pollution, and even make the price of real-estate go down there. All the residents don’t want it and have made it clear in many town halls. But the mayor and city council are either bought off or really dumb. It just made me think this is a microcosm of the relationship between big business and the government at large. Plus the result of the new economic warehouse world we live in. Can you guys shine a light on this? Or at least tell us what you think of this type of thing as a corrosive symptom of something larger? Thanks. Keep up the good work! Cheers.

Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts

Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts is not seeking a third term and not running as an Independent. With that, the Massachusetts GOP will lose their most popular figure and a governor race without him would greatly increase the chances of a Democrat winning in a deep blue state as more Trumpian figures are less popular in Massachusetts. Party tensions on the Republican side are at a all time high with remaining moderates battling "stop the steal" type Trump Republicans for the direction of their party. What does this mean for the future of the GOP in Massachusetts and does this signify anything for other states (blue states with Republican governors and red states with Democrat governors)?

South Africa the New Spain

South Africa is not the first country to be wrongly considered responsible for a virus (or strain). Did you know?: The 1918 flu pandemic became known as the “Spanish flu” because wartime censors minimized reports of the illness while the Spanish press did not. Since the Spanish were neutral in WWI, they were not subject to wartime censors, who thought news of the flu would be bad for morale.

What else can we do to help?

While watching 60 minutes tonight, I remember the stories about China and Russia using the tactics of creating social wars in the United States in order to defeat us rather than waging war. I think breaking points is so valuable to the American public that I am willing to offer my skills to help you reach an even larger audience. Is there a way you could post problems or tasks and allow listeners to volunteer their time? I am a premium subscriber but I’d like to do more… LET US HELP YOU. I can’t say enough about your news coverage and I believe you guys are the future. Thank you for everything, Casey

Krystal Ball For President 2024, Saagar Enjeti For President 2032?

Seeing how our options for a non-corporate corrupted politician from either the Democrats or the Republicans seems very bleak, would you both consider running for President? I know Saagar is not old enough yet to run as Krystal's VP (that is honestly the dream ticket) it seems best if Krystal runs in 2024 and then either picks up Saagar as VP in 2028 or Saagar can just run for POTUS in 2032 instead. You both seem to be the right choice and with your very impressive following, I think it would be a shoe-in! Please consider, for the sake of the future of the United States Of America. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
