Rethinking my subscriptions

My family and I are paying subscribers to several media outlets, from the local to the international (yours included), because we worry about the state of journalism as a dwindling institution. We want to help fund good journalism. My question for you is a two-parter. Are there any major news outlets you think people should UNsubscribe from if they are a paying member? WaPo, NYT, NPR, The New Yorker, etc. have all come under fire on your show at one time or another (for good reasons, mind you; you’re just keeping them honest). But are there any repeat offenders you feel are bad enough to be “defunded?” Conversely, what is a smaller or lesser-known outlet you wish more people WERE subscribed to… newspapers, podcasts, YouTube channels, etc? What is a source you feel would make the media-sphere a better place if they had more funding or a wider audience? I know that list can be long, but would you like to highlight a few? Thank you so much. Chris from Auburn, AL

Any Blooper reels at the 6 month mark

Richard Doherty - Houston, TX Now that you have reached the 6 month mark, are you going to show any blooper reels? Have you ever had to redo a segment because you messed up a sentence or had an unexpected body noise during a segment?

Reporter Relationships

Hey guys, Huge fan your work and love everything you do but I’ll jump to it. I just returned from my very first trip to Washington DC and, besides the disappointment of not running into either of my favorite Breaking Point characters, I met a reporter who had previously worked in DC for almost a decade—first at NPR and then over to Politico. In my conversation I asked what he thought about the work done by you guys, Matt Taibi, David Sirota, and others, but to to my surprise he had heard of none of you?! I’m curious about why you might think that is and what your thoughts/experiences are about the dynamic relationships between major news outlet reporters and independent sources like yourself. Thanks for taking the time and keep it up. P.S. It was wild to see and experience the reporting you guys have been doing about the increased security around the capitol building. I really loved the metal barricades and flashing blue motorcoaches full of officers in the background of all my photos…

Why should I trust you

Why should I trust you? I haven't watched much yet but from what I'm seeing you don't seem to be supporting the Democratic party much. I know they're far from perfect but they're better than the alternative. I understand the moneyed agendas of MSNBC, CNN etc but why are you a better alternative. How is your interpretation and opinion any different than Rachel Maddow or any of the other talking heads.

Why always bashing Israel?

Dear Krystal and Saagar, I'm a premium member and absolutely love your show. To my mind you are both honest and fair people and I love the impact you're having on our horrible media landscape. And yet.. Every time Israel is brought up, it seems Krystal automatically snarks and implies that Israel is getting preferential treatment and is "Well Connected" in the US corridors of power. Then Krystal goes on to mention the BDS and how it's being ignored as if it wasn't a 100% Antisemitic organisation. Why are you always so quick to back the "defenceless" 1.5 billion Muslims around the world who are clearly being abused by the 20 Million Jews? You know friends, sometimes there is just a simple fact of right and wrong. Facts: - Israel can annihilate the Gaza strip in a week, yet it never attacked Gaza, only responded after thousands of rockets were fired on it's people unprovoked giving thousands and thousand of children PTSD from the constant alarms. - Israel has fought 6 wars, all of which were started by her neighbours. - Israel is a life loving liberal democracy. - The Palestinian question is complex, no doubt. But lets remind ourselves that the West Bank Palestinians have the second highest quality of life in the muslim world. Second place only to.. emm.. The Israeli Arabs! It pains me to hear how you both fall for the Talib / Omar manipulations.. It's not "All about the Benjamins" Krystal, it's about truth and fairness. I hope I've succeeded in making my case and hopefully you'll give Israel fair treatment in the future. Love you guys, love the show. Gili, Tel-Aviv, Israel.
