Novak Djokovic and the Australian thought police

I really want to know your take on the Novak Djokovic situation being banned from Australia for 3 years for his statements about vaccines made in 2020. What is even more dismaying is that the MSM is NOT reporting this Orwellian nightmare and thought policing and making a stand. If we took Fauci's statements in 2020 and applied them, to the thought police, he should be banished from Australia too. Or the multitudes of politicians and physicians and scientists that said they would NEVER take the Trump vaccine,, or to delay it until after the election (K Harris, Biden, Eric Topol MD, Slavitt, etc). They seem perfectly ok with his deportation and his banishment for 3 years because he questioned if the vaccine would be necessary for him. So the court said he needed to go as he is a symbol of anti-vax and could incite violence. I mean really.

Language Adjustment

Hey Saagar! Love you like a Brother but could I request that you moderate your use of “God damn”? Maybe just go with “damn”. It comes across as “nails on a chalkboard” and only serves to distract from your message and keen opinion. Just a suggestion for your consideration. Thanks!!! Morgan

News outlets still pretending like Havana Syndrome was a real thing?

Hey guys, just noticed this Al Jazeera clip (from Friday)this morning, and I was like, "Wait, wasn't that debunked a while ago?"I also scrolled through a ton of the comments and only found one other person that seems to know these were actually crickets. Pretty scary how blaze' even these liberal outlets are getting about the truth at this point. Link to clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdPDbbemoVg&t=488s

Who created the rising intro theme?

Both your work on rising was excellent, but the intro theme to rising always had this good morning america vibe that came off as being confused in tone. Who created the intro theme and what was their thought process behind it? Thanks!

Reconciling humanity and freedom with health

I'm an ER doctor who works both at a large academic center and a semi-rural critical access hospital. I can confirm that, at least at those places (and everywhere my friends work), really the only people being admitted for COVID are those who aren't vaccinated. At one of my hospitals, 100% of the ICU beds are taken by unvaccinated COVID patients. All the "hey I'm just asking questions" stuff from certain media figures aside, it's very clear that getting vaccinated will keep people from getting sick. I think I know about 15 people who have COVID right now, all vaccinated, all with very minor or no symptoms. The current 8-hour-plus weight times in ERs, the ability to get heart attack patients and traumas timely care, the fact that I regularly sit on septic babies for days on end in the ER because there is no room for them - this is, without a doubt, driven in large part by people not getting vaccinated. The burden and volume is difficult to convey. It's also driving a lot of health care providers out of health care, which is going to have massive long term effects on our country. In the past month, two doctors I know have quit medicine, and four nurses have left nursing. Their skills are not easy to replace or rebuild. That said, people have the right to make choices for their health, I think the confused public messaging from public health officials and the performance art of, like, wearing masks outside on a windy day has been disastrous, and, as I frequently tell (a lot of working class) people, I don't blame anyone for not trusting what so-called government experts tell them. Listening to government experts has caused a lot of damage to this county over the last 30 years. And of course, I also work as aggressively to help unvaccinated COVID patients as I would anyone, because these are fellow Americans and human beings. My Big Idea is to have a "COVID hopital" in each big city (say, a stadium or something) and hire doctors and nurses and respiratory therapists to work at these. Everyone who has COVID and needs a bed gets a ride there, thus disimpacting the hospital system. We can staff them with National Guard troops or throw some money at some of these folks. My question for you is: is this a possible way of squaring the circle of COVID vaccine hesitancy and media obsession? We may be able to meet all the trains and buy some time until we reach herd immunity and/or convince people to get vaccinated.
