Land grabs

A bit of a lesser discussed issue is the influence of China, Bill Gates and others buying massive amounts of land and property, not to mention businesses. Can you address this plus give a “report card” on how Deb Haasland is fairing and does she have any real inluence? Not quite sure if these two are connected, if only in my mind. Thanks so much.

NYT semi-epiphany perfect expression of liberal media blindness?

Two of NYT's biggest properties -- The Daily Podcast and The Morning newsletter -- got together on The Daily this morning (Wed Jan 26) to talk about the results of a survey they did on American's opinions about the pandemic. Remarkably, they talked about how Democrats were in many ways overly afraid of covid and needed to chillax (yes, a horrible paraphrasing on my part), but at no point did they discuss the role of liberal media in stoking these fears. Is this the perfect expression of the media's blindness of their own responsibility? (Caveat: this was part 1 of part 2... maybe they'll have the full epiphany tomorrow).

Canada Trucker Protest "Truck Convoy for Freedom"

Have you guys seen anything about this? They have raised $5 million on their go fund me. https://youtu.be/ZagIKzqZcwY

Neo-Cons and Neo-Liberals

I've followed closely since the beginning of your time together at The Hill, and I love what you guys are doing. I always appreciate the nuanced perspective on current events that seems to be so rare in modern media. I often hear you use the terms "neo-cons" and "neo-liberals", and I haven't ever fully understood what these terms meant. Could you give a brief description of these ideologies? This would be helpful to me moving forward as I have noticed you use these terms a lot in your discussions.

Kamala Harris

Hey Krystal and Saagar, big fan of the show. Over the past couple weeks I've noticed that whenever you two mention Kamala's failed run you usually say something like "she didn't even make it to Iowa". I think this is an unfair statement because Kamala's 2020 campaign didn't even make it to 2020 — she dropped out in December 2019. I'm hoping that you two could correct the record! Thanks, and keep up the good work!
