head to head review of state abortion amendments that pass or fail

The Kansas Abortion Amendment was proposed reasonably. Voters voted based on reasonableness vs party lines. It would be interested to see a head to head language overview of each state that presents an Abortion Amendment for a vote.

Roe and accountable leaders

I've really appreciated your coverage of the abortion debate. In particular, some of Krystal's monologues and other segments touched on something I think is extremely important. In particular, it seems that the actions our leaders are choosing are entirely alienated from the desires of the people. The Democrats seemingly leave tasks incomplete in order to coerce people into voting for them, and the Supreme Court is famously unaccountable to the electorate. I wondered whether allowing state governments to take up the issue might actually mean more accountability. For example, red states had these extreme trigger laws- but once their policies were actually put in place and affecting people, might voters respond by kicking them out? After all, policies like total abortion bans are extremely unpopular, even in red states. The recent ballot initiative in Kansas seems to support the idea. Maybe this means politicians will have to pursue policies that their voters actually support instead of just signaling their loyalty in the culture war. What do you think?

Republican Strategy Post ROE

With the recent Kansas referendum now in consideration one comment from the show stands out to me. The catch line was something along the lines of, the Supreme Court does not want to be in the business of abortion anymore. Today I see the political opportunity where republicans running for federal office can run with the strategy that abortion is a state issue while still being pro life and not being beholden to the pro life financing coalition. Curious what your thoughts on this are and how this is still complicated on the presidential campaign level,

The Forward party or the Moderate party

So what's with the third parties that I have been hearing about? We need a LEFT party. that can compete or help improve candidates of the democratic party. If we get a "Democrat" labeled MODERATE cough cough...corporate...republican party. THAT Would be BAD. What's really going on here?....Biden has a ~20 percent approval rating, How much if that is "He's not Republican" enough. You have to be joking right? Versus What I hope is the "OH my GOD DO Something!/ANYTHING Bernie like"

Civil War in a Politically Disengaged Society?

I enjoyed Krystal's monologue on this, but it also struck me that the rhetoric around Civil War seems very mismatched to the way non-politically engaged people or even non-voters think. Given the way the structure of our parties and media focus so much attention and power on the most committed partisans, how representative is that level of anger when it comes to the rest of population? Is it possible that small portions of the country on each side are steering their respective "sides" towards this level of confrontation? If so, how much harm do you think they can ultimately cause if the majority stays tuned out?
