Hi Krystal and Saagar, Appreciate all your thoughtful and thorough content. Just wondering if you noted prop W that passed in Oakland this week regarding campaign finance reform. Might be worth a mention. https://ncg.org/oakland-measure-w-fair-elections-oakland-2022-mid-term-elections
A narrative going into the midterms was Democrats need someone new to lead the party if they want any chance to win in 2024. Due to the Red Wave not manifesting, lower level Democrats seem less likely to continue vocally challenging Biden on his need to turn over the reigns of the Democratic Party in 2024. This is not taking into account, however, that many Democrats who ran successful campaigns, ran away from Biden and many even said he should not run again. Is there anything to be said that part of Democrats success was distancing themselves from Biden in their own races?
I know he’s not a robot but he’s jacked, he doesn’t drink alcohol, and he tweeted that 5:30 was the best time to have dinner. I admire how he can absorb all this info for the show and still prioritize his health. I am killing it in work/school/life but struggle to find time to workout/prep meals. Something tells me saagars got all that shit figured out! LOVE YOU GUYS gonna miss James
I have recently learned that Nevada,Colorado, and Washington have a public option like system in place where the government does not fund it but has certain guidelines for insurance companies that force them to have a more affordable “tier”. Because there is not much federal progress on medicare4all, could this be the easiest step forward for states (especially michigan where even the all democrat state government is in Blue Cross Blue Shields pocket)?
