Need Clarification - thanks in advance

I have a tongue-in-cheek question for Crystal. Yesterday (October 28, 2021) you referred to labor busting organizations as Republican driven. What about Amazon and Starbucks? However, and after discussing some major problems with the social media giants, you referred to their leadership as just “Tech Executives”. Please help me understand which social media companies are driven by Republicans; MySpace does not count. Thanks!

Why are people hesitant to believe there is a ruling class?

Why do you think some people are so hesitant to believe things like the fact corporate interests control/influence mainstream media or that there is such a thing as the deep state? Many people, especially upper/upper middle class folk dismiss these things as deranged conspiracy theories which is deeply troubling and agitating.

In Defense of Conservatism

Hey Saagar, Given the horrendous results of Republican Party agenda over the last few decades (trickle-down economics, War on Terror, Jan. 6 Insurgence, etc., etc.) what is it about conservatism that still gives you hope?

Why can't we get the word out about the reconciliation package?

I just read this really helpful piece in the Morning Brew about the Reconciliation Package where they very effectively laid out what was in the newest edition of the package, but more importantly, the insanely popular programs that were taken out, all in two small paragraphs (I'm not sponsored by them btw :)). I was wondering why it seems so hard to get people to learn about what is in this package when it can be done so easily?

MMT and Taxation

Love the show. I am a longtime listener of the show. And I believe that I remember both of you supporting modern monetary policy as a way of understanding our current economic system. According to the principals of MMT government can decide to print money and pay for programs such as Medicare for all. The limiting issue would be the consequences of printing "too much" for the amount of goods and services creates by the country and not the cash on hand from taxes If that is true than the wealthy people do not have the money that is needed to fund the social programs that we so desperately need, rather government doesn't want to fund those programs, However when the two of you speak about taxing the rich it seems like you are saying that we need the tax revenue in order to pay for the social programs that we need. What is your position on this issue? Do we need the tax revenue to pay for the social programs? I am very supportive of taxing the billionaires, wall street and corporations however I think the real issue is the power that they weild over our society not because we need the tax revenue. That being said If we printed more money than our goods and services could support I would agree that we would have to tax in order to allow more spending however we don't need the revenue in order to spend the revenue itself. Sorry it's so long just wondering what your position is. Love your content
