Really appreciate your takes. Closer to Krystal's politics, but definitely with Saagar on the Blink 182. I teach a college level senior symposium on Social Media (It's called Do Avatars dream of Digital Sheep?). The importance of independent public media is obviously a theme, as is instigating meaningful public policy. I was wondering if you could explain de-monetization in a way that would really resonate with my undergraduates? It's a critical piece in what we are discussing. I think they are probably tired of just listening to me on my soapbox. Thanks so much!
Saagar's monologue about globalization driving inflation has me questioning what I know about the topic. Almost everything I see online talks about how the US is printing money like mad. As far as I can tell, that's factual. I can see your point about globalization and supply chains being a driving factor for increased prices, though. My question is, why can't both factors be contributing to the problem? Genuinely curious. Not a financial advisor.
The university I attend, in Ohio, randomly selects students to get a COVID test at a campus testing site regardless of vaccination status. These tests are mandatory and if you don’t schedule a test within two weeks once you’re selected, they report students to the Student Conduct office and employees to HR. The university also requires masks while indoors. How do you feel about the testing policy?
