Hi Krystal and Saagar, I love watching you every week. Breaking Points is my favorite place to get news and stories. I have been following you two since you were back at The Hill. I was wondering if you could possibly do a shout out for me? This past week was Respiratory Care Week (10/24-10/30)and felt the need to give a shout out to all the Respiratory Therapists out there. They continue to be a major asset involved in caring for the sickest COVID patients in the ICU. As we remember early on, the public spoke of needing vents, unfortunately not everyone knows how to use them. That is the job of the respiratory therapist, the only profession educated on the ins and outs of ventilating a patient. Without them it is just taking a stab in the dark. While there was some recognition in the beginning stages of the pandemic, spotlight has since shifted back to nurses and doctors (which they most certainly deserve). However, I do not want the country to forget about respiratory therapist who are always involved in the most high risk areas for treating COVID patients. They are truly some of the unsung heroes of the pandemic. Thanks, Eric
I love you guys, but the video segment with Jacob Helberg was incredibly cringe. Not only did you not disclose where this guy gets his funding from, he then goes on an anti-China rant with basically no pushback. If you're gonna have people like him on, the very least you could do is have a little nuance on China. For every Jacob Helberg segment, perhaps try having an opposing voice on the next week. Someone like Vijay Prashad, Max Blumenthal, Daniel Dumbrill, or Danny Haiphong. These people, and many others, have a deep understanding of China's history, politics, economy, and most importantly most of them have actually been there or actually lived there. So in short, can we expect to get more perspectives on China in the future? Or will every China segment always lean into the genocide, tech stealing, Hong Kong, or Taiwan invasion narratives?
