Public Higher Ed funding program - where is this "new" money going?

Hi Krystal and Saagar, This rabbit hole I've been down since trying to afford my graduate degree without crippling debt has led me to see the asinine bureaucracy of Federal/State surrounding funding allocations for public colleges and universities. You have spoken on student loan debt and the university systems in the US on many occasions. I want to ask your take on university oversight. I.e. where all of the money that went to state universities, community colleges, etc yet there was no direct tuition relief FROM the colleges to student bodies even during lock downs while funds had began and continued to pour in that I've seen reported. I am all for expanded higher education, and it seems as though there has been millions if not billions poured into these institutions through retraining programs, business side incentive programs, fed programs like Emergency Capital Investment Program, WIOA, ARP, and many that have cropped up over the last few years, and no major shift in policy/cost by these schools even in with grants and the like subsidizing on an individual basis through these same programs; and this is not to mention the new state by state funding programs. While i am for student debt relief, looking deeper than 10-20k from the executive branch: Who or what is the oversight of these public higher education's use of this pouring of money and continued rising tuition prices? Keep doing awesome work, to me you guys are the role models any healthy political landscape needs. Shane McClellan

Can you report about Haiti?

Hi Krystal and Saagar. Our next door neighbors in the Caribbean are suffering from horrible political. social and economic turmoil. The assassination of president Moise is one of the most bizarre and brazen acts of recent times. It's something that people should know about. Sadly, things have gotten worse and worse in Haiti since the assassination, and the humanitarian crisis has been compounded by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake and tropical depression... The people persevere. There have been recent waves of protests against the government in Port Au Prince. I think that Americans should have a better understanding of what is going on in places like Haiti, especially given that many U.S. policies and actions have often made things worse for everyday Haitians. Societies seem to be ripping apart in places like Haiti and Central America. Please dig into Haiti and report what you find to our community. We need to know more about Haiti!

No Tax Cuts

If the Bush and Trump Tax cuts hadn’t happened how would the federal budget have changed, and how would income equality have changed? Would we have much less a deficit (a given), and would we have more resources to attach big projects?
