RFK interview - please address audience concerns with same standard you address other media concerns
Just a request - It would be great if you (Krystal and Sagaar) could speak to the issues that your listeners and supporters have raised regarding the RFK interview. I have been a supporter from day 1, and appreciate your content and respect your stance as independent media participants. Regardless of which side of the vaccine debate one is on, there were clear journalistic issues with the interview that left many people disappointed, questioning, and confused as to BP's practices. Everyone has an off day, but considering how much media integrity and independence is crucial to your "raison d'etre", and why your supporters trust you, and subscribe, please comment on why the interview was structured how it was, and why RFK was not given an opportunity to fully answer the questions regarding vaccines. It was not what we are used to seeing on BP, and if there are conflicts of interest, either through competing candidates, or large sponsors, I think you owe it to your audience to make that clear. You speak a lot about holding the media and people with power (which you do now have as a popular outlet) to a high standard of account, and I think you should hold the same standards for your own show. (Sidenote: I was disappointment that the only mention of it on today's show was that "Bobby" texted you (Krystal) that it was "just like" the dinner table growing up. That really obfuscates your audience's concerns not with him, but with your method. Thank you.)
Eastern Ukraine
Hi Saagar - you’re always asking about what is special about “a scrap of eastern Ukraine” and “ how in any world this is worth it”. The answer is very simple: Ukraine’s agricultural, mining and energy output is concentrated in eastern Ukraine. Unfortunately for Ukraine, eastern Ukraine is populated by Russian speaking Ukrainians who are pro-Russian because the former USSR settled Russians there in the 1950s and 1960s.
RFK Jr
I was angry about the end of the RFK Jr interview last week. Now, I respect Krystal’s position and Bobby’s position on the issue. I don’t know who’s right here. Regardless, I think we (us fans) need to allow Krystal and Saagar to continue their relationship with RFK Jr. Clearly, he appreciate the exchange with Krystal. I agree with others in the AMA… I want K & A to address the criticism they’ve received, but I’m willing to be patient here. Lmk what anyone thinks about this.
Politically unhoused
This debt ceiling fight has me feeling politically homeless. I would certainly identify Republican because I find the Democrats’ social positions abhorrent but I think both sides are equally to blame for this debt ceiling fight. I also don’t feel either side is fighting for something that I would say aligns with my values economically. How do I square this garbage circle?
