Mental illness & suicide prevention

Hey guys - love the work you both do to call out corporate power, the forever war & countless other issues CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. all ignore. One issue you guys have previously discussed that I’d love to hear you talk about more is the ongoing epidemic of suicide & mental illness in America. Suicide rates have steadily risen since 9/11, and the COVID lockdowns - politics aside - only made things worse. My question to you guys is simple: what would you say to a person who told you they felt like they wanted to die? I know it sounds morbid, but as someone who tried to end his life 12 years ago while I was in a darker place, I thought MAYBE a few listeners out there might benefit from hearing your responses, as well as any further thoughts you might have on the mental health crisis. Again, thanks for all the great work you do!

Amazon drivers pee in bottles too

Amazon's sub contracted delivery service partners dsp's also pee in bottles not just the warehouse staff. If you're delivering out in the country and the nearest gas station could be 10 to 15 minutes away, if they even let you use it due to covid. That means during a 10 hour delivery shift you could end up using up about an hour to 90 minutes of work time just using the bathroom. Not really an issue though cuz a lot of drivers would rather get off at a decent time. Plus you're in your van by yourself and no one can necessarily catch you though. This isn't a question just thought I'd point it out.

WEF's 2030 plan

What do you think of the World Economic Forum's plan to have western democracies relinquish their sovereignty by 2030 to a governing panel of global corporations? Do you think Americans are ready to go along with this plan?

Challenge with workers quitting question

In the segments last week we heard your views on the recent workers quitting to pursue either new options or just giving up on the existing ones. I agree with you on most points, but one question I always ask is what are the long term effects this will have on those industries and jobs? My biggest concern is that retail and restaurants will continue to find ways to sell their goods. And those jobs are often for younger workers entering the workforce or doing part time roles while going to school. I fear that this latest move by the work force MAY cause many to start looking at more automation options such as virtual employees or technology tools to still serve their customers. This will mean that those jobs may never come back. Is that a concern from your perspective? It's the only part I can't wrap my head around when deciding if this is a good or bad thing.
