Today's Political Climate and the FBI's COINTELPRO Projects From the 50's and 60's

I'm reminded of the FBI's COINTELPRO projects of the 1950's and 1960's whenever I pause, take a step back, and take a look at everything going on in today's political climate. It definitely seems like these intelligence agencies are still engaged in the same tactics (think: the Herald Square Bomber, or Ray Epps), and quite possibly foreign governments in an effort sow discord among all Americans. Is there any evidence, even subtle evidence, to suggest this? Could you point to any reporting, investigation pieces, or available books which can discuss or detail any of this without dabbling too much into conspiracy theory territory?

Indentured Servitude: TRAP (Training Repayment)

I just came across this article, and immediately thought that it was right up Krystal or Ryan's alley in terms of a disgusting tactic used by employers to transfer risk of "cost to hire and ramp" employees back to the worker: "More US Employers Are Trapping Workers in a New Form of Indentured Servitude" https://truthout.org/articles/more-us-employers-are-trapping-workers-in-a-new-form-of-indentured-servitude/?amp I know that in my world, we have sign-on bonuses that carry penalty of prorated recovery if someone voluntarily leaves in the first 1-2 years, but never imagined that major organizations could get away with making hourly wage employees repay "cost" associated with hiring and training. While I understand the heightened risk of attrition in the service industry - and that training IS an incredibly high cost that is wasted if one promptly leaves - it's an investment a company chooses to make. I work in incentives. You NEVER lead with the stick. This sets the tone for an entire organization's culture, rooted in fear and resentment. You lead with the carrot. If you want employees who are loyal where your investments will yield desired outcomes, you offer them a positive incentive for meeting stated objectives. Whether that's tenure, performance, or another metric - you simply do not come out the gate defining your culture with "you should be grateful we hired you. If you leave, we'll make it hurt." Good lord, I'd be fired or strung up in the town square if I went to sales leadership and suggested anything smelling like this in their team's incentive plans.

World Economic Forum and World Recession

First, let me state that I try to avoid conspiracy theories, but I am curious about this. While watching the segment about the possibility of global recession and how it’s largely tied to housing markets in the U.S. and other countries like China, I am wondering if you think there could be any connection to the World Economic Forum and their ambitions of the Great Reset? Especially where it comes to being priced out of the housing market and and their comment about owning nothing and being happy. If you don’t think there is a connection, how much of a role do you think they play in global economics, if any. Thank you, love the show!

Democrats trying to prepare the field when Biden announces he isn't running

In your 9-20 show you talked about Biden giving a non answer on whether he will run again in 2024. You have also mentioned others waiting in the wings if he doesn't run. I wondered how much of the current Democratic Party direct involvement in spending against Progressives in the primaries has to do with simply keeping them out of the ranks vs the fear they see of Bernie running ('I will not run if Joe Biden runs'). Is there already enough of a sense that Biden won't run that they are attempting to preempt a potential Bernie win by keeping momentum at bay while setting the new field for 2024?
